GTA IV Installation and Activation problems

INSTALLATION WITH  CD ON WINDOWS 7:   You can Install GTA 4 either by actual CD or by copying data from the location on another computer where GTA IV is installed (i.e, by default C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games).
After installation by CD it asks you to connect to the internet to check the "Release Date" and for online activation of the game.
If you don't have internet connection you can perform an offline activation by clicking on "Activate Manually" button and proceed as follows:

OFFLINE ACTIVATION WITH CD: You will be provided with an unlock request code and serial no. Serial no. is written on the backside of the user manual provided to you with CD/DVD. Now you just need to copy the unlock request code and serial no. and paste it in the area provided in the following link:  https://support.securom.com/rockstarunlock/GTA_IV/index.php?c=unlock.
From the above given link you will get an unlock code, copy and paste it in the manual activation tab of game below the unlock request code. One more thing, this game requires the CD 1 for playing the game so you can only play this game either when you copy the CD 1 contents to your PC or by putting the GTA IV CRACK files in the "Grand Theft Auto IV" folder where the game is installed.

INSTALLATION WITHOUT  CD: As mentioned above you can copy the data from the location on another computer where GTA IV is installed (i.e, by default C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games).
Now for activation go to the location - (Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\OfflineActivation)  and click on OfflineActivation file.
For Offline Activation proceed as explained before.

xlive.dll ERROR: If you are getting an error that xlive.dll is missing from windows, while starting the game then you need to download the xlive.dll file from this link http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?xlive
and copy this file in the GTA IV game folder.
